General Registration Information
Policies & Procedures

B&B Members can log into their portal to select/ register for classes. New students can register online HERE or CONTACT US for assistance.

 

POLICIES & PROCEDURES We are glad to have you in our program and look forward to helping your dancer Reach For The Sun! Please read these guidelines and join us in making B&B a safe, healthy, fun place to be!

All dates and information are subject to change.

REGISRATION FEE: A registration fee of $25 per student or $40 per family is charged at the time of enrollment and annually each Fall. Registration fees are not refundable with the exception of preschool students who are determined to be unready for dance and may receive a credit for the following season.

 

TUITION: Tuition is due monthly and will hold your spot in class. $25 fee for returned payments and $15 for for late payments after the 7th. Tuition payments remain the same regardless of the number of weeks in a month or holidays. Tuition is non-refundable, and not credited due to missed or dropped classes, or cancellation due to acts of God. Unpaid students will not be admitted into class or be allowed to participate in any recitals. Students ARE permitted to transfer from one class to another based on space availability without fees.

 

Blossom & Bloom reserves the right to deliver class content via an online system in the event that classes are not able to be conducted in person for any reason including but not limited to: weather, teacher absence, or governmental advisory.

 

REFUNDS/CREDIT ON ACCOUNT:

• Tuition, membership fees, recital fees and costume fees are not refundable for any reason. Refunds are only issued when B&B cancels your class or event without a makeup option.

• Account credit will be issued when the parent initiates the schedule change. Credit will be applied to any B&B tuition or fees due within one year.

• No refunds will be given if a similar online class is provided in place of an in-studio class.

 

B&B SEASON: The season begins August 2023 and ends in June 2024.

SAFER STUDIO POLICY:

B&B requires all staff and students to stay home when they are ill. We follow best practices and recommendations from our local health department and from our industry associates, Youth Protection Association of Dance. In the event a class is unable to be held at the studio, classes will convert to the online learning platform until in-studio classes can resume.

 

DANCE RECITAL FEES: B&B does not currently charge a recital fee for the December Showcase. 

A recital fee will be due for the 2024 Spring Recital.

DANCE RECITAL COSTUME FEES: All costume information will be distributed to families as needed. Costume fees will be posted by September. You can opt out of performances in the registration portal you signed up for class in.

 

RECITAL DATE & LOCATION: 

Saturday, Dec. 16, 2023 at Queen Bee's Arts & Cultural Center.

Saturday, June 1, 2024 at The Water Conservation Garden Amphitheater.

 

DROP OFF & PICK UP PROCEDURES:

DROP OFF: Parents must park their vehicle and escort their child to the studio and are required to stay with students until class begins. B&B is not responsible for students left unattended. Loitering before or after class is not permitted. Minor guests shall always be accompanied by an adult. No children are to be left unattended to play on sidewalks or in the perimeter landscaping surrounding B&B.

Parents with students in ages 1-6 years old are encouraged to stay on site in the event your child needs your assistance or guidance.

 

TRAFFIC: Please use common courtesy in the parking lot & surrounding neighborhood. To ensure the safety of the students, please slow down your vehicles. DO NOT drop off students midtraffic or motion your child to walk into the parking lot to be picked up. Do not stop and block the flow of traffic or parked cars.

 

PARKING: Parking is available but limited. Please plan to arrive to class 10-15min early.

PICKUP: Please pick up students promptly. For security, you must escort your child from the studio to your car. B&B teachers and staff cannot provide Day Care and are not responsible for unattended children before or after class.

GENERAL INFO:

MAKE UPS: Can’t make an in person class? Contact us about a make up class!

 

CLASS SHORTENED: If 2 or less students turn up for a class, the class will be shortened.

 

STAFF: Staff is subject to change without notice.

 

PROPER ATTIRE: Proper movement attire is required for all dance classes. This enables teachers to observe the student’s body movements for correct form and technique. Hair must be pulled off the face and neck into a tidy secure style so as not to distract the student in class. Absolutely NO JEWELRY as it is a hazard. Dance shoes should only be worn inside the studio. Street shoes are not permitted on the dance floor at any time. Please see Dress Code section for detailed information.

 

FOOD POLICY: Gum is not allowed in any area of the studio. No food is allowed in any area of the studio. Water is OK anywhere.

 

INJURY: It is customary in the dance world for injured students to attend all regular classes and rehearsals to observe and take notes.

 

PHOTOS: I understand and acknowledge that, from time to time throughout the school year, my child’s picture or video might be taken while participating in classes and/or functions involving B&B. I do hereby authorize Blossom & Bloom to use these photographs or videos for the purposes of illustration, advertisement, social media and publication in any manner whatsoever. If for legal reasons you MUST opt out, please contact us.

 

B&B PROTOCOL:

• In order to continue to provide a positive atmosphere for our students, we ask that there be no gossip in the studio.

• All adult conversations should be rated “G” in both language and subject matter.

• Quiet please when class is in session. Phone conversations should be taken outside & away from the studio. Ear buds should be worn when listening to personal devices.

• B&B teachers and staff are trained professionals. When you attend B&B, we ask that you trust in us. If you have program or protocol concerns, please contact us.

• B&B is not responsible for personal items lost, stolen, or damaged. Do not leave personal items unattended.

• B&B reserves the right to refuse your business without notice.

 

RELEASE: I hereby release Blossom & Bloom and its contractors from any claim for damage or suit by reason of injury, illness, virus, or damage to person or property during the course of the dance program, including special events, and transportation to and from such events. In case of emergency or sudden illness, I hereby give authority to any Hospital or Doctor to render immediate emergency aid as it might be required for the undersigned student’s health and safety. Blossom & Bloom DOES NOT carry medical insurance for its students. It is required that all students be covered by their own family insurance. I specifically intend this release to include all claims that my child and I might have based on actual or alleged negligent supervision, instruction, training, and or facility care and cleaning.
